What is it?
This free preset for Adobe After Effects is a big improvement on the standard Glow effect that's built into AE. AfterGlow delivers much brighter, larger, and more realistic glows that are intense at the edge, and have a large gradual falloff.
Once installed, you can apply the AfterGlow preset to your layers just like you would the old Glow. You can customize it with the same familiar controls, with added functionality such as adjusting the glow’s gradient ratio to create more realistic glows that are intense and brighter at the edge, and have an extended, subtle fade. Separate controls allow you to add a massive, faint glow around the whole layer. Additionally, you can add and rotate glow streaks to give your designs extra flair.
AfterGlow can be applied to any layer, such as shapes, text, or footage. No need to buy a costly plugin – this much sought-after effect can now be part of your design toolkit for free, no strings attached!

The 8-Bit Animation Effect is compatible with Adobe After Effects 2022 and Premiere Pro 2022 (and all later versions). Works in both Windows and macOS. No plugins required.
This template has been universalized, so it will work for users running After Effects in other languages.
The After Effects template includes comps in both HD (1920x1080) and UHD (3840x2160). The MOGRT is HD only, and has a duration of 30 seconds. It can't be extended, but the 8-Bit Effect tutorial shows a workaround for longer clips.
