What is it?
GridScape is a free Adobe After Effects preset that lets you effortlessly arrange large numbers of layers into 2D or 3D grid formations. Once installed, the preset is always available in After Effects for quickly creating structured grids.
Gridscape is designed to be a time-saver for After Effects users working with numerous layers, and need to spread them out evenly, randomly, or in controlled patterns. You'll be able to customize your grid with intuitive controls, and adjust the local position, scale, and rotation of all individual layers simultaneously.
With the controls, you can set the number of layers in each row (X axis), column (Y axis), or depth layer (Z axis). GridScape can be used on Solid layers, Shape layers, Precomp layers, Footage, or Images. Best of all, it's completely free, making it a no-brainer addition to your creative toolkit for quick, dynamic grid layouts.

The 8-Bit Animation Effect is compatible with Adobe After Effects 2022 and Premiere Pro 2022 (and all later versions). Works in both Windows and macOS. No plugins required.
This template has been universalized, so it will work for users running After Effects in other languages.
The After Effects template includes comps in both HD (1920x1080) and UHD (3840x2160). The MOGRT is HD only, and has a duration of 30 seconds. It can't be extended, but the 8-Bit Effect tutorial shows a workaround for longer clips.
