What is it?

ShapeShift allows you to make mind-bending 3D transformations in your footage in Adobe After Effects. This unique tool can be used to create create trippy-looking transition effects, or to just add a mesmerizing 3D effect to any footage. It includes 14 presets with unique 3D designs, so editors in a hurry can simply drop in their footage and quickly render out the effects. Or, users can create their own custom effects by building new 3D designs using the included tools. ShapeShift also includes 27 drag-and-drop sound effects to enhance your effects.

ShapeShift uses a technique called "camera projection mapping" to project your footage onto the sides of a complex 3D shape that sits in the middle of your scene. As you orbit the camera around the shape to face any of its sides, it creates the illusion of your footage transforming in three dimensions with shifting shapes. It's a great way to get your viewers attention and set your content apart!
