What is it?
Wisp allows you to create 3D trails of particles in After Effects. With 50 wisp presets, the particles can be used to imitate trails of fire, liquid, smoke, ink, sparks, lightning, bubbles, sand, and a variety of abstract shapes. The wisps can follow any moving layer, and you can customize them with easy-to-use controls.
Tasks that were once nearly impossible in After Effects are now simple to implement - like making lightning follow a complex path, writing out text with bleeding ink, or creating a thickening 3D vine. The 8-Bit Animation Effect is compatible with Adobe After Effects 2022 and Premiere Pro 2022 (and all later versions). Works in both Windows and macOS. No plugins required.
This template has been universalized, so it will work for users running After Effects in other languages.
The After Effects template includes comps in both HD (1920x1080) and UHD (3840x2160). The MOGRT is HD only, and has a duration of 30 seconds. It can't be extended, but the 8-Bit Effect tutorial shows a workaround for longer clips.
