What is it?
The Aurora Effect allows you to create and customize realistic auroras in After Effects. Auroras, commonly known as the 'Northern Lights' or 'Aurora Borealis', are colorful light displays that appear in the sky when solar wind hits the earth’s atmosphere.
With this effect, you can easily adjust the 3D perspective, colors, brightness, shape, and speed of your aurora. Create endless varieties of polar lights, perfect for compositing into footage, animations, and motion graphics.
Details
This free After Effects project includes both HD and 4K comps, and is compatible with Adobe After Effects, versions 17 (2020) and all later versions. It works in both Windows and macOS – all you need is After Effects.
This effect uses CC Ball Action – a 3D effect on a 2D layer. It's compatible with the camera's Position but does not support depth of field.
This effect has been universalized, and will work in After Effects running in any language.
