What is it?
This free preset for Adobe After Effects preset will let you add floating 3D particles to your footage or animations. Whether you need dust, pollen, bokeh, snow, or underwater particles, this effect offers customizable controls to seamlessly adapt and deliver the perfect results for your scene. The tutorial above shows how to install it, so that you can always easily access it inside of After Effects.
The particles are compatible with 3D cameras, so if your camera is moving, it will appear to pass through the particles, adding depth and realism to your scens. Simply apply the animation preset to a Solid layer, then customize to your preference using the controls. You can even add a texture to the particles for extra realism and detail.
Dust & Pollen can be used to enhance a wide range of animations in After Effects, and is useful addition to your arsenal of design tools—and best of all, it's completely free!

Details
This free After Effects project includes both HD and 4K comps, and is compatible with Adobe After Effects, versions 17 (2020) and all later versions. It works in both Windows and macOS – all you need is After Effects.
This effect uses CC Ball Action – a 3D effect on a 2D layer. It's compatible with the camera's Position but does not support depth of field.
This effect has been universalized, and will work in After Effects running in any language.
