What is it?
Sparkles is a totally free preset for adding custom sparkles to your footage and motion designs in Adobe After Effects. Once installed, you'll be able to access it any time inside of After Effects to quickly add twinkles or sparkles to specific areas of your footage, and maintain control over their quantity, size, brightness, and rotation.
Like the standard Glow effect, it works by sparkling the brightest parts of your footage, but it allows you to contract those bright spots for smaller, more detailed sparkles. Mask out the areas you don't want to sparkle, and use the easy customization controls to adjust or animate its properties, like the rotation. The free Sparkles preset is perfect for creating twinkling stars, shimmering water, sparkling glitter, and adding a radiant shine to your videos!
Details
This free After Effects project includes both HD and 4K comps, and is compatible with Adobe After Effects, versions 17 (2020) and all later versions. It works in both Windows and macOS – all you need is After Effects.
This effect uses CC Ball Action – a 3D effect on a 2D layer. It's compatible with the camera's Position but does not support depth of field.
This effect has been universalized, and will work in After Effects running in any language.
