What is it?
Halftone Effects gives your footage and photos the look of an animated halftone print. In the early days of printing, the "Halftone" printing process produced images through the use of large dots and patterns. With the Halftone Effects template for Adobe After Effects, you can imitate that look for your video by simply dropping in your footage. If needed, you can customize the look with easy-to-use controls.
With three custom styles to choose from, this effect is perfect for newspaper and comic book animations, or any video needing some artistic or retro flare!
Details
This free After Effects project includes both HD and 4K comps, and is compatible with Adobe After Effects, versions 17 (2020) and all later versions. It works in both Windows and macOS – all you need is After Effects.
This effect uses CC Ball Action – a 3D effect on a 2D layer. It's compatible with the camera's Position but does not support depth of field.
This effect has been universalized, and will work in After Effects running in any language.
