8-Bit Animation Effect
(For Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro)
The 8-Bit Animation Effect gives your footage or graphics the look of a retro video game, inspired by classic 8-bit animation. Just drop in your footage to see the effect, then customize the look with intuitive controls in After Effects or Premiere Pro.
Create a bold, cartoonish pixelated look, or push it further with optional TV screen effects that realistically recreate the feel of vintage arcade games or CRT computer monitors. Customize the pixel size, outlines, detail level, RGB pixel texture, screen glow, signal interference, scan lines, and more. Both the After Effects template (.aet file) and Mogrt for Premiere Pro are included in this download. The video tutorials shows how quickly you can create nostalgic, digital 8-bit vibes with this easy-to-use effect.
- This download includes the After Effects template (compatible with Adobe After Effects v.2022 and up) and the MOGRT (compatible with Adobe Premiere Pro v.2022 and up). Works in both Windows and macOS. No plugins required.
- The After Effects template includes comps for both UHD (3840x2160) and HD (1920x1080). Other resolutions will work – just change the dimensions of the comp and its Solid layers. The MOGRT is HD only, and has a 30-second duration (the tutorial shows how to extend this).
- Instructions are found in the video tutorial, and inside the template.
- This template has been "universalized", so it will work in After Effects running in any language.
